Building a Multi-level R&D System

Hangcha currently maintains R&D platforms including a national enterprise technology center, a postdoctoral research workstation, and the Zhejiang Provincial Key Enterprise Research Institute, with more than 600 R&D personnel working across four major technical areas: complete vehicle, power, electronic control, and cloud platform.

We have established in-depth industry-university-research cooperation with institutions like Zhejiang University and Hefei University of Technology, conducting joint research in the fields of intelligent manufacturing, robotics technology, and new energy systems.

Focusing on Intelligent Control and Automated Scene Implementation

Under the Industry 4.0 initiative, Hangcha has accelerated the industrialization of intelligent handling equipment. These achievements have not only improved customer on-site operational efficiency, but also advanced Hangcha's transformation into a comprehensive "system solution provider."

We have independently developed a variety of AGV and AMR driverless forklifts, which have been deployed in fields including automobile manufacturing, cold chain warehousing, and pharmaceutical logistics.

We have launched smart forklifts featuring adaptive navigation, automatic obstacle avoidance, and 5G remote dispatching capabilities.

We have built a cloud-based fleet management platform that enables real-time monitoring of equipment status, data collection and analysis, and remote operation and maintenance.

Leading the Innovation of Core Technologies of New Energy

In terms of new energy technology, we have achieved full autonomy in lithium batteries, motors, and electronic control systems. By building an integrated "vehicle-battery-control" platform, the energy efficiency and safety of the vehicle have been significantly improved.

Hangcha has also joined hands with leading partners to promote the large-scale commercial use of hydrogen fuel cell forklifts, and has conducted pilot operations in industrial parks, ports, steel plants and other scenarios, forming a full-process capability from system development, hydrogenation solutions to after-sales maintenance.

Sharing of R&D Results

We have a European R&D center in Germany, which is mainly responsible for the structural optimization and European standard certification of high-end models. At the same time, relying on more than 150 sales and service outlets around the world, we have established a "market-R&D-verification" rapid response closed loop to ensure that innovation reaches users' real scenarios.
As of the end of 2024, Hangcha has obtained more than 1,200 authorized patents, of which invention patents account for 30%, and many technological achievements have been selected into the national green manufacturing and major special project list.
